This weekend marked the 50th anniversary of our famous club. Since 1967 Verona has been providing football to the people of Dublin 15 so celebrations were marked in fantastic style with football at it's core. To officially launch the occasion on Saturday we welcomed Mayor of Fingal Darragh Butler to kick start the event. First up was an exciting blitz of football with our academy stars, followed by a city of bouncy castles and fun games. Popcorn, candy floss and a mountain of... treats were supplied for our junior players followed by a barbeque, tea and sandwiches and a glass of Prosecco for our older members. It was a day to remember for all our families and our way of saying thank you for the years of support we have received. Without that help we simply wouldn't exist. On Sunday we welcomed our friends from Tullamore for the Colgan cup and shared some food and drink to keep the party going. We really hope that everyone enjoyed the weekend as much as we enjoyed having you with us. Thank you to the army of volunteers who offer their time to the club and played their part in planning and putting together a weekend to remember. There are simply too many people to mention as it takes so many hands to ensure our club and events like these run so smoothly. The first 50 years have been an incredible journey and with you by our side we hope to offer another half century of football for our future players and families. Stay tuned for plenty more photos throughout the week. Thank you!!
